Mcleodganj (Himachal Pradesh)
Mcleodganj
The old yet famous town of Mcleodganj is frequented for two reasons. Firstly for being the abode of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. Secondly for the headquarters of the Tibetan Government in Exile which is housed here. The town's location in the exotic Kangra Valley imparts much charm to it. Tourists arrive here in search of spiritual peace. Besides, the Tibetan Medical and Astrology Institute offers the opportunity to discover the theory behind Tibetan astrology and the natural healing therapies that it puts forth. The obvious Tibetan culture from one point of Mcleodganj to the other makes it known as the 'Little Lhasa'.
